MetraPark is host to Montana’s largest events drawing regional and local audiences.  Each year more than 1,000,000 people attend MetraPark events. The total economic impact to the greater Billings area by visitors varies from $20 million to $30 million dollars in a fiscal year depending on the event load. MontanaFair in Billings, MT is the state’s largest event.  For the past ten years, attendance has been consistently about 250,000 people for this eight day annual event held the second full week of August.  The fair offers concerts, rodeo, motor sports, carnival rides, free grounds entertainment, and last but not least, competition.  From livestock to pies, over $100,000 is awarded each year to approximately 20,000 competing exhibitors.
