On Saturday night March 15th spectators are in for a huge treat as the MONSTER TRUCK WINTER NATIONALS come to the METRA PARK ARENA for one big night of MONSTER TRUCKS, Arena Cross Motorcycle Races, and Tuff Truck Races.  "We were the first to bring Arena Cross Races to Billings back in 1999, we had some of the top talent in the U.S. including Cowboy Kenny Bartram who later went on to be a star with the X Games," said Ed Beckley of Checkered Flag Productions.  Checkered Flag brings a multitude of events to the Arena and outside at the race track.

Points for the MONSTER TRUCK WINTER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP are on the line and this year it means more than ever to get every win the trucks can because the points race is so tight.  BIGFOOT driver Rick Long is in contention as well as Sean Duhon in T MAXX.  With $5,000 dollars on the line on April 5th at the Grand Nationals what happens in Billings counts big-time and could be the deciding factor on who really qualifies for the Championship lineup.  That is good, no that is REAL GOOD!  We get to sit comfortably in the stadium seats while the trucks go to war like Gladiators. 

The line-up for this March event is BIGFOOT, T MAXX, SUDDEN IMPACT, MONSTER CORVETTE the TWISTED DRAGON, and BULLET PROOF.  All of these trucks are wanting to rack up the points.  Monster Trucks will race on an entirely different track this March!  This time the track will be an oval track with huge jumps on each side.  The trucks know it as Chicago Style.  Each truck does a complete lap over the jumps getting air and then sliding it around a corner and then do it all again.  This makes for big action and big air off the jumps. 

Running the Monster in an oval will be allot to watch and it will help us construct the Arena Cross Track in the more to the center of the arena.  Last time the triple jumps and all the cool stuff to watch were up close to the wall, and with this track design the dirt bikes fly off huge jumps in the center of the arena and utilize the whole arena. 

Another Monster Truck is going part of the event and will not race but is to be there to sell tickets so people you can get on and ride inside it and feel the power and rumble of the BUMBLE BEE.

Local hot rod pick up drivers can get some big air in the tuff truck obstacle course races!  Local drivers get to be part of the show as they launch their street legal trucks off big jumps!  Tuff Truck Racing Information
