About This Event:

Multi‐platinum and Grammy‐award winning rock band Stone Temple Pilots’ music has displayed a salacious blend of grunge guitars, classic rock moves and big pop hooks since they burst onto the scene in the early 90s. With nearly 40 million records sold worldwide and a chart‐topping history, this San Diego‐bred band has weathered the storm of a brief hiatus and subsequent reunion tour. Stone Temple Pilots (STP) heads to Billings, Mont., on Tuesday, July 12, 8 PM, at the Rimrock Auto Arena at Metrapark. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 10, at 10 AM.

STP dominated the 90s—racking up a staggering 16 singles on the Billboard Top Ten. Among the hits include “Sex Type Thing,” “Plush”, “Creep,” “Wicked Garden,” “Lady Picture Show” and “Interstate Love Song,” a track from their sophomore album, Purple. “Interstate Love Song” spent a record setting 15‐weeks atop the album rock tracks chart. “Plush,” the second single released from the debut album Core, garnered the band a Grammy award for “Best Hard Rock Performance.” Other songs like “Big Empty” (as heard on The Crow soundtrack), “Vasoline,” and “Sour Girl” have further cemented STP as a band distinctly separate from grunge counterparts. The bands live performance is an explosion of funkadelic rock and classic rock culminating into certain magic.

STP is Scott Weiland (vocals), Dean DeLeo (guitar), Robert DeLeo (bass) and drummer Eric Kretz.

This is an all‐ages performance; doors open at 7 PM.
